Saying goodBye

Main Street Waterloo is sad to share the news that we are closing the book on our junk and antique vendor show, Funky Junk-a-Loo.

It's always tough to see a beloved event like the Funky Junk-a-Loo come to an end, but the planning team has put a lot of thought and discussion into the decision to end the event. As an organization, we are evolving, changing, and tweaking each and every one of our events to ensure the best outcome for Main Street Waterloo, our downtown partners, and our attendees. During these discussions tough decisions sometimes have to be made. Factors such as vendors retiring, shifts in decor preferences, and economic changes can make it challenging to sustain an event.

It's important to recognize and appreciate the hard work and dedication the planning team and vendors have put into making Funky Junk-a-Loo a success for the past seven years. The support from the community has undoubtedly been a crucial part of its success, and it's heartwarming to see that acknowledged.

While it's sad to say goodbye to this event, it's also an opportunity to reflect on the memories and experiences it provided over the years. Perhaps, in the future, there might be new opportunities, or events that can fill the void left by Funky Junk-a-Loo. In the meantime, it's important to cherish the memories and continue supporting other local events and initiatives in our community.
