Welcome to YOUR Downtown Waterloo,

a place where everyone belongs!

We are proud to be part of a vibrant city, rich in diversity, culture, and history. Our downtown is more than just buildings and businesses—it’s the heart and soul of our community, a reflection of who we are and what we can achieve together.

This is Your Downtown Waterloo—a place where dreams take shape, new ideas flourish, and neighbors come together to build a brighter future, hand in hand. Whether you’re here to live, work, shop, or celebrate, this is a space where everyone feels at home, and part of the family.

The October Business Spotlight Is the Rail Station
304 W 4th St
Waterloo, IA

As a recent addition to Downtown Waterloo, Rail Station opened at 304 W 4th Street, the former Kings and Queens Club. They are an alternative night club who caters to the LGBTQ+ community and other diverse groups, but welcomes patrons regardless of their sexual identity or gender.

Owners John Hayes and Darin Beck spent over a year and a half fixing up the inside and outside of the building in anticipation of opening the new club. The new flooring, stage, lighting, and more make it look and seem like a brand new social club. The Rail Station attracted a lot of interest from local patrons and has been a big hit since opening in August.

Drag shows are hosted every Saturday at 10:00pm along with happy hour specials from 5pm to 8pm every day.
