The festival will showcase delicious and unique food trucks from across the Midwest, but the fun does not stop at food! Music, family activities, food eating contest, and a bags tournament will fill your day.

Heatbox, aka The One Man Entertainment System, is a Minneapolis based funky beatboxing loop artist, video game show host, voice over actor, and computer programmer.

He has performed with, or in front of many of the world’s biggest musical acts, and wowed crowds on some of the biggest stages and talent shows. We are thrilled to have him join us in Waterloo!

Fundraiser for the Waterloo Fire Rescue Union



The planning team is working with the Waterloo Fire Rescue Union to host a bags tournament during the festival. Registration will include a general admission ticket and all proceeds will to to the union. Check back for details and how to sign up.

Foodie 5k Fun Run
10 am


You need to make room for all the food you will be eating at the Inaugural Food Truck Festival, why not start the day with the Food 5k Fun Run. This is an un-timed fun run. After the run, join us in the in the plaza for a party with music, dancing, food vendors, and activities.

This is a run for all abilities - first time runners to seasoned athletes. Run, jog or walk, but please no pets, bicycles, roller blades or scooters. All ages and abilities are welcome. Stroller participants are welcome.

Runners will receive a t-shirt and general admission pass to the event.
