The Inaugural Food Truck Festival

RiverLoop Expo Plaza at Park Ave & Jefferson St, Downtown Waterloo
The festival will showcase delicious and unique food trucks from across the Midwest, but the fun does not stop at food! Music, family activities, food eating contest, and a bags tournament will fill your day.
11 am—3 pm
DJ Preston Shane will have you dancing with your food and enjoying the day!
The Ice Breakers
3:30 pm—5:30 pm
The Ice Breakers will take the stage to get your feet moving and booty shaking! Enjoy Blues Rock, Soul, Funk, and classic rock from the 60's and 70's
He has performed with, or in front of many of the world’s biggest musical acts, and wowed crowds on some of the biggest stages and talent shows. We are thrilled to have him join us in Waterloo!
Family Fun Area

Family friendly activities are being planned to partner food and fun. Details will be posted soon.

Fundraiser for the
Waterloo Fire Fighters IAFF Local 66
The planning team has partnered with the Waterloo Fire Fighters IAFF Local 66 to host a fundraising Bags Tournament during the festival. All proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the union. The union is raising money for the Cedar Valley Hospice in the name of fellow fire fighter Justin Junk.
Registration will include general admission ticket and a beer ticket for each team member. Online registration will be open until Thursday, September 2 at 5:00PM, then day of registration and player check will be 11:00AM to 1:00PM.
$30 per team of 2
Online registration has closed. There are still spots to register a team on Saturday. You can sign up at the gate.
Foodie 5k Fun Run
You need to make room for all the food you will be eating at the Inaugural Food Truck Festival, why not start the day with the Food 5k Fun Run. This is an un-timed fun run. After the run, join us in the in the plaza for a party with music, dancing, food vendors, and activities.
This is a run for all abilities - first time runners to seasoned athletes. Run, jog or walk, but please no pets, bicycles, roller blades or scooters. All ages and abilities are welcome. Stroller participants are welcome.
Runners will receive a t-shirt and general admission pass to the event.
