Come take a "Sentimental Journey" to benefit Main
Street Waterloo
Sky Event
Centre will celebrate its 2nd Annual Sentimental Journey
Brunch & Fashion Show on Saturday, September 18th at
10:30am in the renovated ballroom located in the Black's
Building.
Come see the dazzling vintage fashions
from the show's producer, Martha Allbee Hansen, in
addition to current trendy fashions from Younkers.
She has been collecting these fashion items since she
was 11 years old; some are vintage pieces she was drawn
to because of the nostalgic feelings they conjured,
others she wore at various stages of her life.
These pieces have since been donated to the Cedar Falls
Community Theatre. New this year will be models
wearing new fashions featuring the hottest fall 2010
trends from Younkers.
In addition to the fashion show, the
brunch will feature delicious menu items provided by
Barmuda Catering and the chefs from Roux Orleans
Restaurant. Guests will also see the creations of
Jodi Verbraken, The Lemmon Sisters will sing a special
song and the pianist Mick Staebell will provide music
selections.
The event is designed to help raise
money. Part of the proceeds will go to help Main
Street Waterloo. The show is open to the
public. Tickets are $30 each and people can make
their reservations by calling Sky Event Centre at (319)
234-2012.
Raffle tickets are also available for
$1 each and can be purchased at the Main Street Waterloo
office (329 E. 4th Street - downtown Waterloo - (319)
291-2038) and Barmuda Companies (Phantom Park - 900
Technology Parkway, Suite 100 - Cedar Falls - (319)
266-9994). The drawing will be at the event; you
do not need to be present to win.
